Irukandji is incredibly bright and charismatic - she radiates a sunshiney, caring energy, and this combined with her natural love for everyone often makes others very drawn to her. She truly believes in the good in people, and wants to help everyone she meets become their best self. She's very opinionated on human rights and very stubborn on these issues, but outside of that is rarely angry and very easy going. She naturally commands a camera and feels very comfortable on a stage or runway, as well as being very well spoken. She tends to take rejection from others incredibly personally, and struggles to understand when others don't like her.
Biography:
Even as a child, Irukandji was always a ray of sunshine. She loved to make friends and get along with everyone, always a social butterfly. However, she often experienced bullying for her race and culture, and this overtime caused her to feel a rift between herself and others. It was as if somehow she could never truly connect closely with someone, even though she was well liked.Iru went through life struggling severely with her mental health, always hiding it under a smile. In adulthood she struggled greatly with not knowing what she wanted to do in life, feeling directionless and hopeless - that is, until a photographer friend asked her to stand in for a photoshoot since the intended model had fallen sick. She agreed and found the whole experience rather fun, excited to see her friend display the photos. When he did, she was shocked at the amount of people who asked for the name of the model, and started getting offers to model for other people.
Iru began to model for more and more photoshoots, and when she was 21 she signed on with an agency and began to learn how to walk a runway. All of a sudden, she found herself smack in the middle of a successful modeling career, with people clamoring for her attention as the most promising new talent in the industry. This career gave her a direction, something that really encouraged her to work on her health and look to the future.
At 25, Irukandji is extremely successful in her field and loves all the people she gets to meet and learn about. She's often in awe of all her modeling friends, despite arguably being the most famous out of any of them. However, she still struggled with that same gap between her and others - until she met Hotene, another indigenous model, and realized she was falling in love for the first time in her life.
